London (AFP) - Swansea striker Wilfried Bony on Wednesday signed for English Premier League champions Manchester City, the Ivory Coast football federation announced.
The fee is believed to be about 28 million pounds ($42 million, 36 million euros).
"The attacker Wilfried Bony has just signed for Manchester City this Wednesday," the Ivory Coast federation said in a statement on its website.
Manchester City has been in negotiations with Swansea for 26-year-old Bony, who is on African Nations Cup duty, for more than a week.
