GM spends $1.8-1.9 bn on recalls, victim comp in 2014

Detroit (AFP) - General Motors said Wednesday that it had spent $1.8-1.9 billion on recalling tens of millions of cars last year and compensating victims of accidents tied to its faulty ignitions.


GM said another $1.2 billion could be spent this year dealing with the huge recall problems and compensation, but that funds for that had been set aside already in 2014.
